Ingredients of Tomato Chutney Recipe
- Medium-sized chopped tomatoes - 10
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Ginger paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Garlic paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Oil - 1 Tablespoon
- Curry leaves - 15
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 Tablespoon
- Vinegar - 1 Teaspoon
- Sugar - 2 Teaspoons
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Pepper powder - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Tomato Chutney
Step 1: In a skillet, heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Allow them to splutter.
Step 2: Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté it till the raw aroma goes away and add tomatoes and sauté it for about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Then add vinegar, sugar, red chili powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well and cook it till tomatoes well cooked.
Step 4: When tomatoes are cooked well then remove from the heat and set aside to cool at room temperature.
Step 5: Have this delicious tomato chutney with idli or dosa.
