Thandai mousse is an Indian version of the traditional mousse recipe. It would be the best drink to have during the festival like holi and the hot summer season. Thandai is a famous drink of Rajasthan. To make this drink, we required sugar, cream, lemon juice, etc. which makes it more delicious. Here we are using a readymade thandai syrup. You can also make the thandai syrup by yourself and use it to make a thandai mousse.
Ingredients of Thandai Mousse Recipe
- Sugar - 2 Teaspoons
- Whipped cream - 1 Cup
- Lemon juice - ½ Teaspoon
- Thandai syrup - 2 Teaspoons
- Agar agar - 10 gm
- Milk - 1 Cup
- Pistachios for garnishing - 2 Tablespoons
How to Make Thandai Mousse
Step 1: In a deep pan, add half cup water, milk, and agar-agar and bring it to boil. Keep stirring continuously.
Step 2: Now, add thandai syrup and sugar to the pan and cook on a MEDIUM flame for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Then remove the pan from the heat and strain the mixture.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture into a bowl to cool. Keep it into the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to cool and thick the mixture.
Step 5: Once the mixture becomes cool, whisk it properly and then add whipped cream, lemon juice and fold gently.
Step 6: Pour the mixture into glasses and refrigerate it for 3-4 hours to set.
Step 7: Garnish it with pistachios and serve chilled.
