Ingredients of Lauki Tamatar Ki Sabzi Recipe
- Bottle gourd (lauki) - 400 gm
- Finely chopped tomatoes - 2
- Ginger - 1″ Piece
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
- Red chili powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - ¼ Teaspoon
How to Make Lauki Tamatar Ki Sabzi
Step 1: Dry roast jeera for 2 minutes in a pressure cooker, until it fragrant and turns golden.
Step 2: Add ½ cup water, chopped ginger, onion, and tomato.
Step 3: Add the dry masalas – red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Stir for a minute.
Step 4: Add the Ghia (bottle gourd) and close the lid of the cooker. Let it cook for five whistles. Remove from ﬁre.
Step 5: Open the cooker when the pressure drops. Dry the water in it on fire and serve hot.
