Tandoori Momos are tossed with a tandoori paste, which gives the tangy and delicious taste to the regular momos. Ingredients of Tandoori Momos Recipe
- All purpose flour - 250 gm
- Salt - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
- Water - 1 Cup
- Oil - 1 Cup
- Chopped Garlic - 1 Teaspoon
- Onion - 100 gm
- Chopped carrot - 1 Cup
- Chopped cabbage - 2 Cups
- Black pepper - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Hung yogurt - 1 Cup
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 Teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Tandoori Momos
Step 1: In a bowl, add all purpose flour, salt, and one teaspoon oil and knead it into a soft dough with using the required water. Then rest the dough for 15 minutes.
Step 2: In a frying pan, add two teaspoon oil, chopped garlic, and onion to it and sauté them for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Then add chopped carrot, chopped cabbage, black pepper powder, salt and mix it well. Sauté the vegetables for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4: Once it is ready, remove the pan from the heat and keep it aside to cool.
Step 5: To make momos, take a medium-sized ball from the dough and make a thin chapati from it.
Step 6: Add one teaspoon of veggie filling in the center.
Step 7: Lift one side of the edge and start pleating. Start folding and forming the pleats one by one. Towards the end, join the pleats in the center.
Step 8: Repeat the procedure to make more momos.
Step 9: Now, place the momos in the steamer and steam them for 10 minutes.
Step 10: Now, in a mixing bowl, add hung curd, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, dry fenugreek leaves, garam masala, lemon juice, oil, and salt and mix them well.
Step 11: Now, add the steamed momos to this mixture and mix it well and marinate the momos for 1 hour.
Step 12: Preheat the oven to 430°F/220°C.
Step 13: Now, add these marinated momos on the baking tray and bake them for 10-12 minutes.
Step 14: Once ready, remove it from the microwave and sprinkled chaat masala over it and serve it hot with momos chutney.
