Ingredients of Tandoori Chicken Recipe
- Red chilies - 2
- Cinnamon powder - ¼ Tablespoon
- Bay leaf - 1
- Onion - 1
- Garlic cloves - 2
- Ginger - 2 Teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Nutmeg powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Paprika - 2 Tablespoons
- Chicken thighs, skin removed - 6
- Low-fat yoghurt - 200 gm
- Lemon juice - 2 Tablespoons
- Cumin powder - 2 Teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ Teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 3 Teaspoons
- Whole cloves - 2
How to Make Tandoori Chicken
Step 1: In a food processor, puree chilies, onion, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice until it becomes smooth.
Step 2: Mix cumin, pepper, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, turmeric, nutmeg and paprika in a small bowl.
Step 3: Cook for 1 minute on HIGH, stirring halfway through cooking. Remove bay leaf and cloves.
Step 4: Combine chili mixture, spices, and yogurt together. Spread over chicken.
Step 5: Cover it and marinate overnight, stirring occasionally.
Step 6: Place on a roasting rack and cook for 20 to 25 minutes on MEDIUM-HIGH flame. Turn over halfway through cooking.
Step 7: Serve with boiled rice.
