Stuffed potatoes, a very delicious Indian curry recipe. Potatoes are everybody’s favorite food. It’s easy, and you can cook it any time when you want. Stuffed potatoes are generally prepared in gravy. Here I have given a different recipe of stuffed potatoes. We can call it sukhi barwaan aloo. It can also be served as a starter. Sprinkle chaat masala over the stuffed potatoes and serve hot.
Ingredients of Stuffed Potatoes Recipe
- Baby potatoes - 15
- Oil - 3 Tablespoon
- Oil for deep frying - 3 Cups
- For the Stuffing
- Oil - 2 Tablespoons
- Green peas - 1 Cup
- Green chili paste - 1 Tablespoon
- Grated cheese - 1 Cup
- Cashew nuts - 1 Tablespoons
- Pepper powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
- Asafoetida (hing) - ½ Teaspoon
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Red chili powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Chaat masala - ½ Teaspoon
How to Make Stuffed Potatoes
Step 1: Peel the potatoes and cut each into two equal parts.
Step 2: Scoop out the centers and make a hollow.
Step 3: Deep fry the potatoes into the oil until it turns golden in color. Keep aside.
Step 4: In a frying pan, heat oil and add green peas, chilies and fry for 5-6 minutes on LOW flame, stirring continuously.
Step 5: Add cashew nuts, sugar, salt, and pepper to the mixture and mix well. Let it cool and then add cheese to it and mix well.
Step 6: Stuff the potatoes with this mixture and press well the stuffing.
Step 7: Join two halves of potatoes to form on and insert a toothpick in between to keep it intact.
Step 8: Now, heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida.
Step 9: Add potatoes to it and toss them. Sprinkle red chili powder to it and again toss it for 2-3 minutes.
Step 10: your delicious stuffed potato is ready to serve.
Step 11: Served it as a starter or you can also enjoy it with your main course meal.
