Veg Chilli Momos
Veg chilli Momo is delicious dumplings made with momo chutney, red chilli paste, vinegar, soy sauce, and ketchup. Momo is a popular Nepali recipe. You can make a different kind of momos like paneer momos, vegetable momos, etc. You can steam or fry the momos. If you like to have crunchy momos then its best to have fried momos, you can easily prepare the momos at home and serve it to your family and friends.
Here in this recipe, I have used pre-cooked steamed vegetables momos which are then fried to make it crispy. Fried momos are then sauteed and tossed with green chilli, onions, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic cloves. You can serve it along with a meal or can serve it as evening snacks. Enjoy them with momo chutney.
Ingredients of Veg Chilli Momos Recipe
- Momos - 14
- Momo chutney - 1 Cup
- Oil - 3 Cups
- Red chili paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Vinegar - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Tomato ketchup - 1 Cup
- Green chili - 10 gm
- Garlic cloves - 10
- Onion - 1/2 Cup
- Salt - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Sugar - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Spring onions for garnishing - 1 Tablespoon
How to Make Veg Chilli Momos
Step 1: Add oil into a Frying pan and deep fry the momos till it becomes crispy and brown. Remove it from the oil and drain it on an absorbent paper.
Step 2: Now, in a Mixing bowl add momo chutney, red chilli paste, vinegar, soy sauce and ketchup and mix well.
Step 3: In a Deep Pan, add green chilli and garlic cloves and saute it for 3 minutes. Then add onions to it and fry it until translucent.
Step 4: Now, add previously prepared sauce to it and add salt and sugar to it and mix them well.
Step 5: Then add the fried momos to it and toss them well and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6: Add the momos in the Serving plate and garnish it with spring onions and serve it.
