Ingredients of Singhare Ki Kadhi Recipe
- Singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour) - 1 Tablespoon
- Yogurt - ½ Cup
- Red chilli powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Cinnamon powder - 1/8 Teaspoons
- Rock salt - 1 Teaspoon
- A pinch of sugar
- Hot water - 1 Cup
- Few finely chopped coriander leaves
- For Tempering
- Ghee - 1 Tablespoon
- Cumin seeds - ½ Teaspoon
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Curry leaves - 5
How to Make Singhare Ki Kadhi
Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk the yogurt, water, singhare ka atta, red chili powder, cinnamon powder, sugar and rock salt together.
Step 2: Place this yogurt mixture to the deep pan and bring it to boil.
Step 3: When it starts boiling lower the heat and let it simmer. Stir it after every 2 minutes.
Step 4: Meanwhile, heat the ghee in another frying pan and once it is hot add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
Step 5: Then add curry leaves and dry red chili to it.
Step 6: Now, immediately add this tempering to the simmering mixture of yogurt.
Step 7: Let this kadhi simmer again for about 5 minutes.
Step 8: At last when the kadhi is done transfer it to the serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Step 9: Serve this kadhi with sabudana khichadi.
