Ingredients of Singhare Ke Atte Ka Upma Recipe
- Singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour) - 1 Cup
- Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - ½ Teaspoon
- Finely chopped green chilli - 1 Tablespoon
- Rock salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Crushed peanut - 2 Tablespoons
- Black pepper powder - ¼ Teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 5
- Some fresh coriander leaves
How to Make Singhare Ke Atte Ka Upma
Step 1: In a pan, heat 1 ½ tablespoons of ghee and add singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour) to it and roast it till light brown and transfer it into a bowl.
Step 2: In another pan, heat remaining ghee and add cumin seeds and when they start spluttering add curry leaves, chopped green chilies, roasted singhare ka atta and salt to it. Mix them well.
Step 3: Now, add warm water, crushed peanut, and black pepper powder and again mix it.
Step 4: Then cook it on LOW flame until the mixture turns thick. Stir in between.
Step 5: Now, turn off the flame and transfer it to the serving bowl.
Step 6: Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
