Laksa is a famous Asian soup recipe. You can use all your favorite seafood types to make this delicious Thai dish. It is mainly made with coconut cream, seafood, fish sauce, laksa paste and more. You can make laksa paste at home or can use the ready to use paste. Here in this recipe, I have used the readymade laksa paste. Always use fresh and sustainable seafood types. Ingredients of Seafood Laksa Recipe
- Finely sliced lemon grass - 1 Tablespoon
- Coconut cream - 270 ml
- Fish fillets - 2
- Oil - 2 Tablespoons
- Prawns - 300 gm
- Laksa paste - 2 Tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Bean shoots - 1 Packet
- Garlic cloves - 2
- Vermicelli noodles - 1 Packet
- Fish stock - 1125 ml
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Seafood Laksa
Step 1: In a large bowl cook laksa paste, oil, lemongrass, and garlic for 1 minute on HIGH flame stirring once during cooking.
Step 2: Add fish sauce, fish stock, salt and cook for three mints on HIGH flame.
Step 3: Add cubed fish and deveined prawns and cook for 7 minutes on MEDIUM flame. Stir through coconut cream and cook for a further two mints.
Step 4: Add noodles to a large bowl of boiling water and let stand for 5-10 minutes, or until noodles collapse.
Step 5: In a serving bowl, place bean shoots, noodles and then laksa soup.
- Garnish with freshly torn coriander and fried onion flakes and serve hot.
