Ingredients of Peas Pulao Recipe
- Basmati Rice - 300 gm
- Ghee - 1/2 Tablespoon
- Green Peas - 75 gm
- Cloves - 6
- Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch piece
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Water - 300 ml
How to Make Peas Pulao
Step 1: Wash the basmati rice in the running water and soak them for about 1 hr.
Step 2: On the flame, heat the pressure cooker and add 1/2 tablespoon of ghee in it.
Step 3: Now add cloves and cinnamon to it and sautee it for a second.
Step 4: Once the cinnamon and cloves start to crackle, add water to it.
Step 5: Now, add soaked basmati rice, salt, and green peas to it and mix it well.
Step 6: Pressure cook the rice for three whistles and, once ready, turn off the gas.
Step 7: Remove the pressure cooker from the flame and serve the hot peas pulao with any dal or raita.
- For more fragrance, you can also add bay leaf and star anise into the pulao.
