Ingredients of Paneer Angara Recipe
- Paneer - 300 gm
- Fresh cream - 2 Tablespoons
- Oil - 1 Cup
- Cloves - 2 Pods
- Green cardamom - 2 Pods
- Mace - 1
- Cinnamon stick - 1 Inch
- Dry red chili - 1
- Cashews nuts - 1 Tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 Tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 Teaspoon
- Onion - 2 Cups
- Tomato - 2 Cups
- Ghee - 1 Cup
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Bay leaf - 1
- Bell pepper - 1 Cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 Teaspoon
- Water - 4 Cups
How to Make Paneer Angara
Step 1: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a frying pan, add cloves, green cardamom, mace, cinnamon stick, dry red chilli, cashews, and roast for 2 - 3 minutes on MEDIUM heat.
Step 2: Add ginger, garlic and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
Step 3: Then, add onions and fry until it turns golden brown in colour.
Step 4: Now, add tomato and saute until it turns soft and pulpy.
Step 5: Transfer this into a blender and blend it into a smooth paste.
Step 6: Now, heat ghee in a skillet, add cumin seeds, bay leaf and stir well. Then add onions, bell pepper, and saute for 5 minutes on MEDIUM heat.
Step 7: Then add the blended paste into the skillet and cook it for 5 minutes on MEDIUM heat.
Step 8: Then add turmeric powder, salt, paprika, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and dry fenugreek leaves to it and mix it well.
Step 9: Then add 1 cup water, paneer to it and cook for 5-10 minutes on MEDIUM heat.
Step 10: Add two tablespoons of fresh cream to it and mix it well.
Step 11: Delicious Paneer Angara is ready to serve. Serve it hot with roti or naan.
