Ingredients of Mutton Mulligatawny Soup Recipe
- Mutton - 2 Cups
- Water - 3 Cups
- Curry leaves - 1 Teaspoon
- Oil - 1 Cup
- Chopped tomatoes - 2 Cups
- Garlic paste - 1 Tablespoon
- Sliced onion (Deep fry it and use for garnishing) - 2 cups
- A small piece of cinnamon - 1 Inch
- Garam masala - 1 Tablespoon
- Methi seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Boiled rice - 1 Cup
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Coconut milk - 2 Cups
How to Make Mutton Mulligatawny Soup
Step 1: In a heavy bottom pan, add mutton, water, oil, tomatoes, garlic paste, onion, garam masala, methi seeds, coconut milk, and curry leaves and cook for 15-20 minutes till the meat and tomatoes are well cooked.
Step 2: Now, remove the meat pieces and cut into small pieces and keep aside.
Step 3: Strain the cooking liquid and put it in the pan, then add coconut milk and cook further for 5-10 minutes and then add salt to it.
Step 4: Now, add meat pieces and cook further.
Step 5: Correct seasoning and serve very hot, garnish the soup with boiled rice, fried onions, and small meat pieces and serve hot.
