Mooli Ki Sabzi
Mooli ki sabzi is a Rajasthani dish. Mooli or radish is healthy and readily available during winters. Radish has various health benefits which help you to stay fit. People prefer to have mooli raw in a salad or can make a sabzi of it and enjoy it with roti.
During winter, my mother makes a different salad with mooli and makes mooli leaves sabzi, which is too delicious. It tastes best when served with Makki ki roti and garlic chutney. To make this dish, you require radish, tomato, green chillies, ghee, and different spices. Ingredients of Mooli Ki Sabzi Recipe
- Radish - 2
- Asafetida (Hing) - ½ Teaspoon
- Finely chopped tomato - 1
- Finely chopped green chilies - 3
- Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
- Carom seeds - 1 Teaspoon
- For the Paste:
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Curd - 1 Cup
- Bengal gram flour - 1 Teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - ½ Teaspoon
How to Make Mooli Ki Sabzi
Step 1: Cut the radish into medium size with tender leaves. Chopped them and boil into the water for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2: Squeeze out the extra water from the boiled radish by pressing between palms.
Step 3: In a grinder, blend together, salt, curd, Bengal gram flour, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and make a paste.
Step 4: In a frying pan, heat ghee and add carom seeds, asafoetida and green chillies. Wait for 5-6 seconds.
Step 5: Add tomatoes and fry for 3-4 minutes. Add the paste and bring to boil stirring consistently.
Step 6: Add the radish and mix them well. Simmer for 5-10 minutes on MEDIUM flame.
Step 7: Delicious mooli ki sabzi is ready to serve with hot chapatti.
