Usually, kheer is made with rice, but in this method, no grain and rice are used, so it is an ideal recipe to make during your fasting days. Ingredients of Mewa Ki Kheer Recipe
- Full cream milk - 1 Litre
- Cashew nuts - 1 Cup
- Raisins - 1 Cup
- Almonds - 1 Cup
- Sugar - 1 Cup
- Charoli (chironji) - 1 Tablespoon
- Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Walnut - 2 Tablespoons
- A pinch of saffron strands
How to Make Mewa Ki Kheer
Step 1: In a heavy bottom pan add full cream milk and place it on MEDIUM flame and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
Step 2: When the milk starts boiling add cashew nuts, raisins, almonds, charoli and walnut to it and mix well.
Step 3: Keep stirring the milk continuously and cook the kheer for 5-10 minutes on LOW flame.
Step 4: When the kheer becomes thick add sugar and cardamom powder to it and again cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5: Remove the frying pan from the heat.
Step 6: Garnish Mewa kheer with saffron strands and serve hot or cold.
