It is a traditional recipe of the Kumbhal village which is in Palitana region of Gujarat.
This delicious and crunchy snack is made and served during marriages in the kumbhal village. Usually, baking powder or baking soda is added in the pakora or bhajiya batter to make it tastier, but in this recipe, it is not used still, it tastes delicious, and you will enjoy it. Ingredients of Kumbhaniya Bhajiya Recipe
- Chopped coriander leaves - 2 Cups
- Chopped ginger - 1 Tablespoon
- Chopped green garlic - 1 Tablespoon
- Chopped green or red chilies - 1 Cup
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Chickpea flour - 1 Cup
- Lemon juice - 1/2 Cup
- Water - 1/2 Cup
- Oil for frying - 3 Cups
How to Make Kumbhaniya Bhajiya
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add chopped coriander, chopped ginger, green garlic, and chillies and mix them well.
Step 2: Now add chickpea flour to it, lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of oil to it and mix it well. Add required water to it and make a semi-thick batter.
Step 3: Now, in a frying pan, heat 3 cups of oil.
Step 4: Now, take a small portion of the batter and place it into the hot oil and make small fritters.
Step 5: Deep fry the fritters until golden brown.
Step 6: Remove it from the oil and drain it on absorbent paper.
Step 7: Serve the hot kumbhaniya bhajiya with hot tea or Kadhi.
