Ingredients of Kokam Sharbat Recipe
- Dry kokam - 2 Cups
- Sugar - 2 Cups
- Water - 2 Cups
- Roasted cumin powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Cardamom powder - 2 Tablespoons
- Black salt - ½ Teaspoon
How to Make Kokam Sharbat
Step 1: Wash the dry kokam and soak them in warm water for 4-5 hours.
Step 2: Add this kokam in a blender, add water and blend them to a smooth mixture. Strain and keep aside.
Step 3: In a small pot, add water and sugar to it and let it boil, till the sugar dissolve completely, and the mixture becomes thick.
Step 4: Let the sugar syrup cool and then add the kokum mixture to it.
Step 5: Then add cumin powder and cardamoms powder and mix them well.
Step 6: Keep this kokam sharbat into the refrigerator in an airtight jar.
Step 7: While serving the sharbat, dissolve one teaspoon of kokam sharbat into chilled water and add ice cubes to it and serve the chilled kokam sharbat.
