Ingredients of Khoya Barfi Recipe
- Khoya - 1 Kg
- Ghee - 100 gm
- Powdered Sugar - 400 gm
- Few drops of saffron essence
- Some nuts (almonds & Pistachios) - 1 Tablespoon
- Few strands of saffron
- Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Silver foil/warq as required
How to Make Khoya Barfi
Step 1: Grease a plate with little ghee. Set aside.
Step 2: Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan and add khoya. Roast it over low heat until it starts to leave ghee. Remove from the heat.
Step 3: Add powdered sugar, saffron essence, and cardamom powder. Mix well.
Step 4: Transfer this burfi mixture to the already greased plate and spread it evenly.
Step 5: Add silver foil over burfi mixture also spread dry fruits and saffron strands over burfi mixture.
Step 6: Cut it into the desired shape and serve.
