Ingredients of Mawa Barfi Recipe
- Khoya (mawa) - 1 Kg
- Sugar - 250 gm
- Blanched and sliced pistachio nuts - 50 gm
- Peeled melon seeds - 100 gm
- Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
- A few drops essence of kewda
- Silver Foil
How to Make Mawa Barfi
Step 1: Mix khoya and sugar and keep it in a heavy-bottomed pan.
Step 2: Stir over a SLOW until all the moisture is absorbed and the mixture turns very thick.
Step 3: Mix in the nuts, cardamom powder and essence and remove it from the fire.
Step 4: Put in a greased thali.
Step 5: Cool thoroughly, cover with foil and cut into small pieces.
Step 6: Store in airtight container.
