Ingredients of Ginger Pumpkin Pie Recipe
- Ready-made pie crust - 1
- Butter - ½ Teaspoon
- Pumpkin puree - 1 ½ Cups
- Eggs - 2
- Brown sugar - 1 Cup
- Grated ginger - 2 Tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1 ½ Teaspoons
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Pepper to taste
- Half and half - 1 ½ Cups
- Chopped ginger for garnishing - ½ Teaspoon
How to Make Ginger Pumpkin Pie
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
Step 2: Melt the ready-made pie crust and lightly coat the pie with very less butter.
Step 3: Streak with crust, crimping off the excess. Place it on the oven rack and heat it for 10-12 minutes.
Step 4: Now, in a bowl, add pumpkin puree, brown sugar, eggs and whisk it properly. Then add ginger, salt, pepper, cinnamon and again whisk it.
Step 5: Now, add half and half to the mixture and whisk till it becomes smooth.
Step 6: Pour pumpkin pie filling into preheated crust.
Step 7: Put the pie on the oven’s centre rack and bake it for 1 hour.
Step 8: Once it’s ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool at room temperature. Then place it in the refrigerator to cool.
Step 9: Garnish with grated ginger and serve the ginger pumpkin pie.
