My today’s post will bring you, your family and your friends a very delicious surprise after the meal. Tiramisu is a very famous, delicious, and yummy Italian dessert. It is considered as a semifreddo, which means a dessert served cold, but not frozen.
Tiramisu is a coffee soaked dessert. This is one of my and my family’s favorite desserts. It is very soft, moist and yummy dessert recipe with lots of creaminess taste. Every bite is heavenly delicious. It is made with sponge cake, and this is my go-to dessert recipe. Whenever I arrange a party at home, my first preference for the after meal dessert is Tiramisu. This is the coolest trifle I’ve ever tried, so I hope you guys like this recipe. So learn how to make this delightful Italian dessert with this easy tiramisu recipe.
Ingredients of Tiramisu Recipe
- Sponge cake - 1
- Cream cheese - ¾ Cup
- Sugar - 5 Tablespoons
- Port wine - ¼ Cup
- Fresh cream - 1 Cup
- Coffee powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Cocoa powder for garnishing - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Tiramisu
Step 1: Preheat the oven. Meanwhile, take sponge cake and cut into a thin round. Keep aside.
Step 2: In a bowl, take a coffee powder and add sufficient water to make coffee syrup along with one tablespoon of sugar.
Step 3: Now, cut the remaining sponge cake into 12mm. X 50mm. long fingers.
Step 4: Arrange these cake fingers on a baking tray and toast in a pre-heated oven at 160°C for about 20 minutes. Remove from the baking tray and allow them to cool.
Step 5: Heat port wine in a pan along with remaining sugar over a gentle heat until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside and allow it to cool.
Step 6: Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Keep refrigerated.
Step 7: Now, whisk together the cream cheese and wine mixture. Gently fold in the whipped cream. Set aside.
Step 8: Arrange the cake round on the base of 8" diameter serving the dish. Soak generously with the coffee soaking syrup.
Step 9: Top with half of the cream cheese mixture and freeze it for 30 minutes or until it has set.
Step 10: Meanwhile, dip each piece of toasted cake finger in the coffee soaking syrup for 10 seconds.
Step 11: Arrange these soaked cake fingers over the first layer of cream cheese. Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture. Freeze it again for 4-6 hours or until set.
Step 12: At last, garnish it by sprinkling the cocoa powder on top and cut into square and serve immediately.
