Egg Cheese Paratha
Egg and Cheese Paratha does not need any introduction or explanation. As all of you know that it is a popular stuffed paratha.
Last time I have made egg and cheese paratha was a few weeks ago when I was at my friend’s home. Her family tried it the first time and also enjoyed it so much. Cheese is the most loved ingredient loved by everyone, even if they are elder. You can find many cheese recipes on the blog like cheese omelette, chicken and cheese pakora, etc.
The recipe of making this paratha is same as other stuffed paratha recipe. Meaning the procedure of stuffing and rolling the paratha is same for all paratha recipes. The only difference is making the stuffing mixture. Still, I have shared a detailed step of paratha just in case you are a beginner in making paratha.
The stuffing for this paratha is made from eggs, cheese and some dry spices. Addition of green chillies and onion adds little extra flavour to it. This is usually served as a breakfast. But I do make it in brunch or dinner whenever I feel lazy for cooking an elaborate meal. I serve it with curd and pickle.
Ingredients of Egg Cheese Paratha Recipe
- Boiled and grated eggs - 2
- Grated cheese - 200 gm
- Refined flour - 2 Cups
- Wheat flour - 2 Cups
- Chopped onions - 1 Cup
- Finely chopped green chillies - 5
- Garam masala - ½ Teaspoon
- Finely chopped coriander strands - 5
- Cumin seeds - ¼ Teaspoon
- Oil - 1 Cup
- Butter - 1 Piece
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Egg Cheese Paratha
Step 1: Combine the refined flour, wheat flour and salt in a bowl. Knead a soft dough by adding water to it. Set aside for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Heat the oil in a frying pan over MEDIUM heat. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, onions and garam masala and sauté them well.
Step 3: Add grated eggs, cheese and coriander and season it with salt. Mix everything well. Remove from the heat and set aside for a while.
Step 4: Now, divide the dough into five equal parts.
Step 5: Now, take one portion of dough and roll out a little and place a spoonful of stuffing at the center and cover all the sides.
Step 6: Again roll out gently and prepare a chapati.
Step 7: Roast the paratha on hot tawa, applying butter on both the sides until golden brown in color.
Step 8: Best accompaniment with this is curd and pickle.
