Lasagna is a delicious Italian dish. Quite easy, the only lasagna recipe that you required. It's a great way to feed your family and a perfect meal for the dinner parties. This dish is a bit time consuming, but once its ready you will enjoy it. You can use pre-ready sauce or make it at home as per your taste and requirement. You can store the extra sauce in the refrigerator upto 4 to 5 days and use it later. Here is the recipe for a classic lasagna.
Ingredients of Lasagne Recipe
- Meat Sauce Ingredients
- Butter - 30 gm
- Chopped onion - 1
- Mince - 1 Kg
- Tomato paste - ¼ Cup
- Napoletana sauce - 250 gm
- Button mushrooms - 1 Cup
- Garlic cloves - 2
- Oregano - 1 Tablespoon
- Salt - 1 Tablespoon
- Cheese Sauce Ingredients
- Butter - 90 gm
- Flour - 1/3 Cup
- Milk - 1 ¾ Cups
- Grated cheese - 125 gm
- Lasagna noodles - 200 gm
- Grated mozzarella cheese - 100 gm
How to Make Lasagne
Meat Sauce Method
Step 1: Place butter and onion in a large Pyrex bowl and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on HIGH flame.
Step 2: Stir in mince. Cook, it uncovered for 12 to 14 mints on MEDIUM-HIGH flame. Stirring every two minutes. Drain excess fat.
Step 3: Stir in tomato paste, Napoletana sauce, mushrooms, garlic, and oregano.
Cheese Sauce Method
Step 1: Melt butter in medium size Pyrex bowl for 40 to 50 seconds on HIGH flame. Stir in flour and cook for 40 to 50 seconds on HIGH flame.
Step 2: Slowly stir in milk. Cook for 4 to 6 mints in HIGH flame, stirring every minute.
Step 3: Stir in tasty cheese.
To Assemble the Lasagne
Step 1: Use a 3-liter deep casserole dish
Step 2: Stand lasagna sheets in hot water for five mints and then cover the base of the dish.
Step 3: Spoon over sheets 1/3 of meat sauce. Cover with 1/3 of cheese sauce.
Step 4: 3 times repeat this process and end with the cheese sauce.
Step 5: Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
Step 6: Cook for ten mints on MEDIUM-HIGH flame with the lid on now, after ten mints remove the lid and continue cooking for further ten mints on MEDIUM-HIGH flame.
Step 7: Allow standing ten mints before leaving.
Step 8: Cut the lasagna into pieces and serve with a fresh garden salad and bread.
