Ingredients of Onion Pakora Recipe
- Onions - 3
- Besan flour (gram flour) - ½ Cup
- Ginger paste - 1 Teaspoon
- Red chili powder - ½ Teaspoon
- A pinch of baking soda
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Oil for deep frying - 3 Cups
- Green chili paste - ½ Tablespoon
- Finely chopped coriander leaves - 2 Tablespoons
How to Make Onion Pakora
Step 1: Add the sliced onion into the bowl and then add gram flour, red chili powder, green chili paste, ginger paste, baking soda, salt and coriander leaves to it
Step 2: Mix all the ingredients well and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3: Now add the required water to the mixture and mix them well. Ensure that the better not becomes too much thin.
Step 4: Now, add oil in a frying pan and heat the oil over MEDIUM flame.
Step 5: Now, take a small portion of the onion-gram mixture and gently drop 4-5 mall fritters into the oil and deep-fry it until it turns crispy and golden brown. Keep stirring it.
Step 6: Once its ready remove it from the frying pan and put it on an absorbent paper to excess oil.
Step 7: Repeat the same procedure for the remaining batter.
Step 8: Enjoy the crispy onion fritters with green chutney and hot tea.
