Ingredients of Coconut and Jeera Ghughra Recipe
- For Dough
- Refined flour (maida) - 500 gm
- Ghee - 6 Tablespoons
- For Stuffing
- Cumin seeds - 100 gm
- Cardamom powder - ½ Tablespoon
- Almonds - 20 gm
- Cashew nut - 20 gm
- Raisin - 20 gm
- Grated coconut - 50 g
- Jaggery - 100 gm
- Oil for frying - 4 Cups
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Coconut and Jeera Ghughra
For the Dough
Step 1: Take a bowl and add refined flour, then add six tablespoons oil and some water to it and make the dough.
Step 2: Add required water and make a semi-soft dough.
For the Stuffing
Step 1: Take a small pot and add some cumin seeds to it and fry it until it becomes golden brown.
Step 2: Now, add jaggery, almond, raisin, and cashews to it.
Step 3: Keep it aside to make it cool.
To Make Ghughra
Step 1: Make small round balls of dough and make a round roti of it.
Step 2: Now, add stuffing in the half part of roti and fold it with the other part of roti and seal the edges with using some drop of water.
Step 3: Ensure that the stuffing is not coming out from it.
Step 4: Now, heat oil into a deep kadhai and fry Ghughra at MEDIUM heat flame.
Step 5: Fry Ghughra until it becomes golden brown.
