Churma Ladoo is a traditional Rajasthani recipe. In Gujarat, it is known as ladva. In India, Churma Ladoo or ladva is made during all festivals and other occasions. Churma Ladoo is most delicious sweets which are to prepare for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Churma ladoo is a deep fried wheat and gram flour dough balls which is first coarsely ground and then mixed with jaggery and shaped into small round balls (ladoos). Everybody loves the Ladoos and enjoy it a lot. Once the ladoos are cooled down, you can store it in an airtime container for 2-3 weeks. Ingredients of Churma Ladoo Recipe
- Wheat flour - 500 gm
- Gram flour (besan) - 50 gm
- Caster sugar - 100 gm
- Jaggery - 200 gm
- Ghee - 500 gm
- Cardamom powder - 2 Teaspoon
- Milk - 2 Tablespoons
- Poppy seeds - 1 Tablespoon
How to Make Churma Ladoo
Step 1: In one large plate, add wheat flour and ghee and make a tough dough with warm water. Make medium size rolls from this dough.
Step 2: Now, Put a kadhai on heat and add three tablespoons ghee to it and fry the wheat rolls.
Step 3: Now, when the wheat rolls turn brown remove it from the kadhai and keep it aside to let it cool. Once the rolls become cool crush it into the mixture and make a powder of it.
Step 4: Sieve the mixture properly if it's not appropriately crushed then again crush it into the mixture.
Step 5: Now, in this mixture add one tablespoon castor sugar and mix it well. Keep it aside.
Step 6: Now, in another bowl add gram flour, milk, and one tablespoon ghee and sieve it properly. Then add one tablespoon ghee to kadhai and fry this flour into it. Now, mix this flour into previously prepared wheat flour mixture.
Step 7: Now, in a large kadhai, heat the ghee and add jaggery to it when the jaggery deliquesce into ghee add churma mixture (wheat flour mixture ) and cardamom powder to it and bake it for 4-5 minute.
Step 8: When the mixture is hot remove it from the heat and let it become slightly cool.
Step 9: When the mixture is slightly hot make a round roll from the mixture and make small ladoo from it.
Step 10: Repeat this procedure for all the mixture and make small ladoos from it.
Step 11: Roll this ladoos on Khus Khus (Poppy Seeds) and its ready to serve.
