Chocolate Oats Pinwheels, are scrumptious, buttery tasting these cookies with a subtle flavor of cocoa powder with the sweetness of sugar.
With very few ingredients, I have made these cookies like butter, cocoa powder, milk, brown sugar, multigrain bread, and oats. I usually make these cookies because it is my favorite and many of my friends have made it too and they enjoyed it. So I thought of sharing Chocolate Oats Pinwheels with you all. And you know that anything with oats, I am always in.
Ingredients of Chocolate Oats Pinwheels Recipe
- Butter - 1 Tablespoon
- Cocoa powder - 2 Tablespoons
- Milk - 5 Tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 2 Tablespoons
- Multigrain bread - 4 Slices
- Oats - 1 Tablespoon
How to Make Chocolate Oats Pinwheels
Step 1: In a thick bottom pan, melt butter and add cocoa powder to it. Keep stirring continuously for a minute on a MEDIUM flame.
Step 2: Now, slowly add the milk and brown sugar and keep stirring continuously till the sugar melts. Let this mixture simmer on a medium flame for about 4 minutes or until thickened. Set aside and let it cool for a while.
Step 3: Meanwhile, roast the oats in a frying pan till they turn crisp. Grind these roasted oats coarsely.
Step 4: Take multigrain bread slices and roll them out evenly and spread the cocoa mixture over the bread and top with crushed oats.
Step 5: Now, roll each slice up and cut it into 3-4 portions depending on the size.
Step 6: Your pinwheels are ready! Serve them chilled or at room temperature.
