Ingredients of Chinese Leaf and Cucumber Salad Recipe
- Chinese leaves - 400 gm
- Salt - 1 Teaspoon
- Pepper - 1 Teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 Tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 Tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 2 Tablespoons
- Cucumber - 400 gm
- Garlic clove - 1
How to Make Chinese Leaf and Cucumber Salad
Step 1: Blanch the Chinese leaves in boiling, salted water for 1 minute. Set aside to drain.
Step 2: Slice the garlic clove in half and remove the core. Crush each half with the blade of a knife and finely chop.
Step 3: To make the marinade, in a small bowl, mix the garlic, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil.
Step 4: In a serving bowl, mix together the Chinese leaves and cucumber and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Pour over the marinade and set aside at room temperature for 2 hours. Serve at room temperature.
Step 6: Garnish with sprigs of fresh herbs before serving.
