Papite Ka Halwa

This dessert dish is elegantly laced with the sweetness and flavor of cardamom powder and garnish with cashew nuts and rose petals. Finish your fasting meal with this delicious papite ka halwa.
Ingredients of Papite Ka Halwa Recipe
- Dices ripe papaya - 4 Cups
- Sugar - 1 Cup
- Milk - 2 cups
- Rice flour - 2 Tablespoons
- Ghee - 6 Tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - ½ Teaspoon
- Few cashew nuts
- Few rose petals, for garnishing
How to Make Papite Ka Halwa
Step 1: Bring the milk to boil. Once boiled allow it to cool.
Step 2: Meanwhile, heat one tablespoon of the ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts till golden. Set aside.
Step 3: In the remaining ghee, fry the rice flour slightly and add this fried rice flour to the boiled milk. Set aside.
Step 4: In a mixture blender, place diced papaya and blend it to smooth puree.
Step 5: In a heavy bottom pan, heat one tablespoon ghee and add papaya puree and cook for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Step 6: After papaya is cooked add sugar and milk to it. Mix well and cook again for another 10 minutes. Stir continuously.
Step 7: Now, add remaining ghee and stir continuously until mixture leaves the pan and forms thick halwa consistency.
Step 8: At this moment add cardamom powder and cashew nuts. Mix well.
Step 9: Remove from the heat and garnish it with some rose petals.
Step 10: Your papite ka halwa is ready to serve.
