Papaya sambharo or raw papaya chutney is must have accompaniment with Gujarati Snacks. Typically Papaya sambharo is served with Fafda, Gathiya, Gota and other Gujarati snacks item. Payapa Sambharo is made from green chilies, raw papaya, turmeric powder, and other Indian spices. Raw papaya is stir fry along with other main ingredients in oil and then it's cooked for a few minutes and its ready to serve. Ingredients of Papaya Sambharo Recipe
- Small grated Papaya - 1
- Chopped green chilies - 7
- Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Oil - 2 Tablespoons
- Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
- A pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1/2 Tablespoon
- Chopped coriander leaves - 1 Tablespoon
How to Make Papaya Sambharo
Step 1: Add oil to the frying pan and place it on the flame. Now, add mustard seeds, when the mustard seeds start to crackle, add hing to it.
Step 2: Now, add grated papaya, green chilies, turmeric powder, and salt to it and mix it well and cook it on a MEDIUM flame for 4-5 minutes.
Step 3: Now add lime juice and chopped coriander leaves to it and mix well.
Step 4: Then remove the pan from heat and serve Papaya chutney with Fafda and Gujarati Kadhi.
