Today I am going to share rice kheer that is made from leftover rice. Last week I had tried this Kheer from the leftover rice and trust me; it tastes like the regular kheer.
Making this kheer is very easy because all you have to need is leftover rice and a few more ingredients like milk, sugar, cardamom powder and some nuts to garnish it. Unlike other sweet recipes, you can’t go wrong with this recipe, because it is easy and also quick to prepare. So let’s get started.
Ingredients of Rice Kheer Recipe
- Leftover rice - 1 Cup
- Full fat milk - 1 Liter
- Sugar - 5 Tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Almonds for garnishing - 1 Teaspoon
- Cashew nuts for garnishing - 1 Teaspoon
How to Make Rice Kheer
Step 1: Heat milk in a pan and bring it to boil.
Step 2: Add leftover rice to it and let cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add sugar and cardamom powder. Keep stirring.
Step 3: When the mixture becomes a thick turn off the flame and remove it from the pan.
Step 4: Garnish it with cashews and almonds. Savour hot.
