Rajasthani Gatta Kadhi Recipe – Gatte Ki Kadhi Recipe

Gattas are made from gram flour which is spiced up with dry spices. You can make curry with using the curd and without the curd. In this recipe I have used curd to make a curry. Enjoy this traditional Rajasthani Recipe.

Rajasthani Gatta Kadhi Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup besan
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 finely chopped green chili

For Kadhi

  • 1 cup sour curd
  • 1 ½ tablespoon besan
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon fennel (sauf)
  • Fenugreek seeds powder (methi dana powder)
  • ½ tablespoon coriander powder
  • 2 broken red chilies
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste

How To Make?

To Make Gattas

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients together, add some water and make stiff dough from it.

Step 2: Now, apply little oil on your palm and roll the dough for 5 to 6 cylindrical rolls.

Step 3: Then, place this rolls to the microwave safe bowl and add 1 cup of water to it and microwave it at 80 % power for 5 minute.

Step 4: Then Remove it from the water and cut into small pieces and keep aside.

To Make Curry

Step 1: Take a bowl and beat besan, curd and water together and keep aside.

Step 2: Now take microwave safe bowl and add oil to it and add all the dry masalas to it and microwave it for 5 minute at 100% power.

Step 3: Then, pour the besan-curd mixture into this, stir it and again microwave it for 5 minute at 100% power.

Step 4: Add gattas and microwave it for 3 minutes at 80% power.

Step 5: Garnish it with green coriander and serve hot with roti or rice.
