Peanut Chikki Recipe

Peanut or sing chikki is a very health recipe made from jaggery and peanuts. You can easily make peanut chikki at home. Peanuts are very healthy and taste best when mixed with jaggery and ghee. In Gujarat, Peanut chikki is specially made during the Uttarayan festival and winter season. Below is easy to follow recipe steps to make peanut chikki at home.

Peanut Chikki Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Peanuts
  • 2 cup jaggery
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 tablespoon ghee for greasing

How To Make?

Step 1: In a frying pan roast the peanuts on SLOW flame for 2-3 minutes. Keep aside to cool.

Step 2: When the roasted peanuts are cool remove its skin and broke them into halves.

Step 3: Now, grease the flat plate with 1 tablespoon ghee.

Step 4: In a frying pan, add jaggery and cook it till it turns into a thick syrup form. Then add roasted peanuts and ghee to it and mix them well.

Step 5: Remove the hot mixture from the pan and spread it on the greased plate and roll out to the surface.

Step 6: Let the mixture cool and then cut into square shapes.
