Maple Walnut Cake Recipe

Maple Walnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients

For Cake

  • Cooking spray
  • 3 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup chopped walnut halves

For Frosting

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • Salt to taste

How To Cook?

To Make Cake

Step 1: Preheat the oven at 176 °C.

Step 2: Coat the cake pans with cooking spray. Line bottoms with parchment paper, also coat it with cooking spray.

Step 3: In another bowl, add butter and beat it with mixture then add brown sugar to it. Add eggs, at a time one, beat it well. Then add maple syrup.

Step 4: In a bowl, add flour, baking soda and salt and mix it well.

Step 5: Transfer the mixture to previously prepared cake pans. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Insert a toothpick in, if the centre comes out then again cook it for some more time.

Step 6: cool the pans for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7: Now, in a large skillet melt the butter and then add walnuts to it and cook and stir over on MEDIUM flame.

Step 8: Stir it in a salt and maple syrup and cook it for 2 minutes.

For Frosting

Step 1: In a bowl, beat the cutter, confectioners’ sugar, salt, maple flavouring and cream and mix them well.

Step 2: Now, place one cake layer on a serving plate, then spread the frosting on that cake layer. Also sprinkle candied walnuts and maple syrup on it.

Step 3: Repeat this procedures for all the layers.

Step 4: Cover the whole cake with the remaining maple frosting. Decorate with more walnuts. And the Maple Walnut Cake is ready to serve.
