Lapsi Recipe – Gujarati Sweet Recipe

Lapsi is delicious gujarati sweet recipe. Lapsi is made from wheat and jaggery that makes it very healthy recipe. Laspi is made in every special occasions. During festivals like Navratri, Durga puja, it’s made as a prasad or naivedya. Here is the easy way to make lapsi at home. Learn how to make lapsi in just few easy steps.

Lapsi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 gm wheat flour
  • 500 gm grated jaggery
  • 300 gm ghee
  • 6 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon elaichi powder (cardamom powder)
  • 3 tablespoon alomond

How To Make?

Step 1: Heat the pan and add jaggery to it and add 2 cup water and let it melt on MEDIUM heat. Once the jaggery melted remove it from flame and keep aside.

Step 2: Now, take kadai and add ghee to it and heat it. Then, add wheat flour to it and cook it on SLOW flame and fry the flour till it turn into golden brown color.

Step 3: Now, add 4 cup warm water to wheat flour and mix it well. Keep stirring the mixture.

Step 4: Cook this mixture for 5-10 minutes. Slow the flame and now add jaggery mixed water to this wheat mixture and mix it well and cook it for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring.

Step 5: Then add cardamom powder to it and mix well.

Step 6: Garnish with almonds and serve hot.
