Bhakri With Spicy Ghee Recipe

Bhakri is very famous Gujarati style chapatti. It’s a type of chapatti served with spicy ghee on the top. You can serve bhakri in your breakfast, with your main meal and as a snack. You can make Bhakri soft or hard, as per your choice. Usually it’s served with vegetables, curd, chutney, pickles, etc. Bhakri is easy and quick to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed bhakri Atta of rice, wheat and millets
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • Warm water to make dough

For the spicy ghee

  • 6 tablespoons ghee
  • ½ teaspoon garlic paste
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

How To Make?

Step 1: Make a tight dough of bhakri Atta with warm water using ghee or oil an curd.

Step 2: Add salt to taste while making a dough.

Step 3: Then, make 12 balls and roll each one with dry flour to 2 mm thickness. Roll them enough to get circles of 5 cms diameter.

Step 4: Roast bhakri or medium heat until crisp and gets brown spots on top.

Step 5: Melt ghee and add the rest of the ingredients.

Step 6: Mix well and remove from the heat.

Step 7: Apply on hot bhakris and serve with Pickle.
